Part preparation
Our industrial paint application process begins with a thorough part preparation. This step is important to ensure perfect paint adhesion. It includes cleaning and degreasing metal surfaces, removing any impurities that could compromise the final result. We use solvent degreasing or phosphating methods to ensure a clean surface ready to receive the paint coating.
Masking: use of special masking material
In some cases, parts require masking before painting. For this purpose, the Groupe ABCM uses specific masking materials manufactured by 3D printing or automated cutting. This innovative approach ensures that the masking is durable and perfectly adapted to the part, reducing the need for disposable adhesive tape. In addition to guaranteeing greater precision, these reusable covers optimize our masking processes, while limiting waste and increasing the efficiency of our painting operations.
Paint application
Once the parts have been prepared, they pass through an application booth where the paint is uniformly sprayed. We use high-quality liquid paints, specially formulated to withstand the most rigorous conditions. Spray application allows us to cover every corner of the parts, ensuring complete protection and an impeccable aesthetic finish.
Drying and finishing
After paint application, the parts are dried in an oven to harden the coating. This drying process is essential to ensure long-lasting paint adhesion and to prevent surface defects. Once drying is complete, we carry out strict checks on gloss, adhesion and coating thickness to ensure that every part meets our high quality standards.
